Hello, Med 1s
Welcome to the Max Rady College of Medicine! hope you found Student Affairs’ Orientation informative and helpful. As promised, I am following up with a few housekeeping items and important reminders:
1. Orientation Summary & Acknowledgement
I have attached a document that provides a brief summary of the information presented by Student Affairs this morning. Please take a few minutes to read through it and retain a copy for future reference.
Students are required to acknowledge receipt and understanding of the document by clicking the “Submit” button at the bottom of the form.
If, for any reason, the “Submit” button does not work, simply reply to this email with “Received and understood.” I will follow up with students as needed.
2. Your USB Drive
The USB drives we handed out this morning aren’t just meant to be cute! 😊 They will actually be a very useful resource throughout the program, as they contain important forms, reminders, and links to helpful resources.
Please hang on to your USB and keep it somewhere accessible.
3. Book a 15-Minute Meeting with Me
As mentioned during our presentation, I strongly encourage each of you to book a 15-minute, in-person appointment with me. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to share any questions, concerns, or anticipated challenges you may have as you move through the program.
You may already anticipate needing additional support or assistance from Student Affairs, or perhaps there are circumstances that could potentially create barriers to your progress. Connecting early allows us to identify those concerns and to try to find a way to support you or refer you to other services.
I’m here to help—or, if I’m not the right person to assist, to connect you with someone who can. I would genuinely love the opportunity to meet with each of you.
Please use the link below to reserve an appointment. Once you have booked a time, we will follow up with a meeting invitation.

One important note: Please do not miss class in order to meet with me. If you’re unable to find a time that works for you through my booking page, simply send me an email and we’ll find another time that is more convenient for you.
I look forward to connecting with you all and supporting you throughout the program.I hope you all have a great weekend!
