Message from Dr. Kelley Main, Dean, Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
To: Graduate Students & Postdoctoral Fellows
CC: Graduate Chairs & Graduate Support Staff
Almost 500 UM community members have strengthened their commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility by taking
EDIA 0100: Foundations. This
summer, the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is pleased to be sponsoring a special offering of the course exclusively for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
You’ll learn about EDIA concepts and yourself through a mix of in-person and online elements, as well as two required facilitated sessions, all led by a supportive instructor. Learners
will receive a digital badge on successful completion. The course also serves as the pre-requisite for the
Micro-certificate in EDIA,
a three-course program for everyone at UM.
If you’re interested in this special offering, have a conversation with your advisor to confirm it’s the right time for you to take this. Then,
sign up between February 9-27 to enter the intake lottery.
The course will run May 11-August 9, 2026.
