Dear Colleagues:

As the new academic year approaches, we have been assembling items to discuss at our first meeting on October 3.  As you know, we usually hold one longer meeting each year to more fully  discuss issues of importance to research and researchers at the University of Manitoba. There have been many developments since we last met. Accordingly, I am writing to ask that our first meeting of the year on October 3 be this longer meeting that we propose to run from 3:00 PM until 8:00  PM with a break for dinner at 6:00 PM. Location is yet to be determined.
