Hi everyone,

The Desautels Faculty has 40 spacious practice rooms, all located on the 4th floor of our building.  Each practice room features a piano - usually a Yamaha or Kawai - and has acoustic panelling for optimum sound quality. Two designated jazz ensemble rooms are equipped with a piano and full drum kit.

All Music students have access to the 4th floor practice rooms, accessible with the use of your swipe card.  However, only Music students registered in Major Practical study and/or Credit Recital are allowed to reserve time in practice rooms.

Until the practice room schedule is finalized, you are free to use any open practice room.  After the schedule is finalized and posted, if a practice room is empty please feel free to use it.   However, if another student arrives and has booked the room, please respect their booking and let them use the room.

Attached, please find a map of the 4th floor, and a list of the instruments housed in each practice room.

The sign-up process for practice rooms will begin on January 13.
