Looking to enhance your teaching and learning skills? Trying to find opportunities to discuss challenges you face in your setting? Whether you’re getting started in your career of medical education or an experienced practitioner wanting to expand your med ed knowledge, join us for interactive discussions on a variety of topics related to teaching and learning in clinical settings.

Learner Mentoring and Coaching Workshop with Dr. Cliff Yaffe 
Participants in this workshop will learn about the importance of mentoring and coaching in medical education and career development. The session will include didactic teaching and case discussion.

At the completion of the session, participants will learn the following:

  1. What is the difference between mentoring and coaching and where they may be utilized for medical learners?
  2. What are the different types of mentorships?
  3. What are the important qualities of a “great” mentor/coach?
  4. What are the important ingredients of a successful mentoring experience for mentees and mentors?
