Subject: Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA)
Good afternoon,
I am writing to you today to make you aware of a national (and international) research initiative, led by CIHR, about aging and Alzheimer’s. CIHR is developing a large research consortium on aging and Alzheimer’s called the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA) (see http://www.cihr-irsc.gc.ca/e/46475.html ).
They currently have one application for the consortium, which has researchers from across Canada, but only includes a few researchers from Manitoba. Dr. Howard Chertkow, PI on the grant, has asked that I help him engage a few more researchers from Manitoba. I have attached the summary of the research projects and the list of researchers currently involved. If you are interested in participating in the CCNA, please contact Dr. Chertkow and Victor Whitehead (cc’d on this email) to discuss.
