This is the last day for application for travel awards for the 2014 SFN meeting in Washington.  So far we have very few applications.  If you submitted an abstract and are a graduate student or a postdoctoral fellow and are interested, please see below.  I can extend the deadline by a day if you need a little extra time:

The Society for Neuroscience is offering its Chapters opportunities to complete for travel awards to attend the2014 annual meeting in Washington.  Awards are offered to students and postdoctoral fellows.  Please submit the materials they ask for below to wcsn@sbrc.ca by June 17 if you are interested.  We will forward the top application in each category to the SFN.  Thanks!

Nomination Materials:

• Completed Graduate Student or Postdoctoral Trainee application;
• Copy of the abstract submitted for the SfN annual meeting;
• A one-page letter of recommendation from the nominee's mentor/advisor commenting on the nominee's contributions to neuroscience research;
• Applicant’s biosketch (no more than two pages; visit http://grants.nih.gov/grants/funding/phs398/biosketchsample.pdf for further guidelines).
