Dear MNN Members,

I’m excited to invite you to be part of a new initiative: the MNN Advocacy Council. This Council will lead our efforts to:

  • Advocate for increased science funding in Manitoba
  • Support national campaigns aimed at boosting science funding across Canada
  • Promote opportunities for students, postdocs, and early career researchers (ECRs)
  • Advocate for the ethical use of research models in neuroscience
  • Engage with the broader community to make research funding a priority in electoral discussions
  • Help build the next generation of neuroscience training and research infrastructure right here in Manitoba

Whether you’re a student, researcher, clinician, or advocate, your voice and perspective are vital to this work. Together, we can raise the profile of neuroscience in our province and ensure a strong future for discovery and innovation.

If you’re interested in joining or learning more, please reply to this email or reach out directly. We’ll be organizing an initial meeting soon to set our goals and actions for the coming months.

Let’s work together to build momentum and make a difference.

Warm regards,
Tabrez J. Siddiqui
