Dear Neuroscientists,

As you know, one of the primary responsibilities of the Winnipeg Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience is community outreach.  The Chapter has been involved in Brain Awareness week and has given awards for neuroscience projects in school science fairs, among other initiatives recently.  Our goal, however, is to gain a more consistent and meaningful outreach presence overall.  To help achieve this goal, Dr. Sari Hannila has generously agreed to be the Director of Outreach for the Chapter.  She has several initiatives planned and you will see emails from her from time to time describing them.

One of her first plans is to develop a roster of scientists who would be willing to give public outreach presentations.  Once the list is compiled, she will ask for specific information so she can prepare the roster for ‘marketing’ and posting on the Winnipeg Chapter website.  If you would like to be on the outreach speaker roster, please reply to this email.
