The Margaret Elder Hart Distinguished Visitor event is being held
Thursday October 3, 2024, at the Helen Glass Centre for Nursing, University of Manitoba. The topic for the day captures the complexities and interconnections inherent in the field of planetary health with two opportunities to discuss the topic of sustainability
at the keynote address at 10:00 AM and a panel discussion at 2:00 PM.
We
are pleased to host Barbara Astle, PhD, RN, FCAN, FAAN, as our Distinguished Speaker. Dr Astle is an internationally recognized Professor and Director for the Master of Science in Nursing Program at Trinity Western University, Langley, British Columbia.
Her program of research focuses on health equity, social justice, human rights, and albinism building upon her research in global / planetary health.
The Keynote address will be in room 260 Helen Glass at 10:00 am and available via webinar, please register for the link.
The Panel discussion will also be held in 260 Helen Glass at 2:00 pm and will be an
in-person event only, please register and reserve your spot.
