Call for Student Nominations 2025-2026

Dear Midwifery Students,

The College of Nursing is seeking nominations for midwifery students to serve as representatives on its committees for the 2025–2026 academic year. Each appointment will be for a one-year term, starting September 1, 2025 (or immediately following nomination), and ending August 31, 2026. For committee details, please see the attached Terms of Reference for each committee.

Should the number of nominations exceed the available vacancies, a virtual election will be held over the course of one week to select the representatives.

Please note: If you are nominating another student, you must first obtain their consent before submitting their name. Full names and emails of nominees are to be provided.

Your participation on these committees is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the governance and success of the College. We encourage you to consider nominating yourself or a fellow student.

Admissions & Advanced Standing Committee:

• One (1) seat/vacancy – Midwifery student

Professional Unsuitability Committee – Midwifery:

• One (1) seat/vacancy – Midwifery student, preferably from Year 3 or 4

Student Appeals Committee:

• One (1) seat/vacancy – Midwifery student

Anti-Racism Committee:

• Unlimited seats/vacancies – Midwifery students
