Call for Student Nominations for the Academic Year 2024-25

Dear Students,

The College of Nursing is seeking student nominations to fill seats on its committees for the 2024-2025 academic year. Successful nominees will be appointed for one year, effective immediately following nominations, ending July 31, 2025.

If more nominations than vacancies are submitted, a virtual election will be conducted to determine the successful nominee.

Please note that if you are nominating someone other than yourself, you must obtain their permission before submitting their name.

COLLEGE OF NURSING COMMITTEES – VACANCIES OVERVIEW

College Council:

• Two seats – Undergraduate students

Executive Council:

• One seat – Undergraduate student

Admissions and Advanced Standing Committee:

• One seat – Bachelor of Nursing Program student
• One seat – Bachelor of Midwifery Program student

Professional Unsuitability Committee (Nursing):

• Two seats – Bachelor of Nursing Program students
  (year three or four)

Professional Unsuitability Committee (Midwifery):

• One seat – Bachelor of Midwifery Program student
  (year three or four preferred)

Student Appeals Committee:

• Two seats – Bachelor of Nursing Program students
  (Fort Garry Campus)
• One seat – Bachelor of Midwifery Program student

Undergraduate Curriculum Committee:

• One seat – Bachelor of Nursing Program student

Anti-Racism Committee:

• Two seats – Undergraduate students

Endowment Fund Advisory Committee:

• One seat – Bachelor of Nursing Program student

Faculty Search Committee:

• One seat – Undergraduate student

Local Area Safety and Health (LASH) Committee:

• One seat – Undergraduate student

Margaret Elder Hart Distinguished Visitor Committee:

• One seat – Undergraduate student

Student Advisory Council:

• Ten seats – Year two Bachelor of Nursing Program students
• Ten seats – Year three Bachelor of Nursing Program students
• Ten seats – Year four Bachelor of Nursing Program students
• Two seats – Bachelor of Midwifery Program students
