Dear Students,

 

As we approach the final exam period, we’d like to share some important reminders regarding deferred exams.

 

Please note that deferred exams are not automatically granted. All requests must be reviewed and approved by the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs, and are considered only in cases of unexpected and extenuating circumstances that prevent you from attending your exam as scheduled.

 

Examples of acceptable reasons include medical or compassionate grounds. If you find yourself unable to write a final exam for these reasons, you must:

 

Please be aware that needing more time to study or prepare is not considered an acceptable reason for a deferred exam, nor are travel or vacation plans. We encourage all students to plan ahead and make use of available resources to support their exam preparation.

 

We understand that unexpected things can happen, and we are here to support you if you experience circumstances beyond your control. If you’re unsure whether your situation qualifies, please reach out to the advising team as soon as possible.
