This work is part of an NCIM and Canadian Association of Midwives (CAM) joint national project, titled “Dismantling
Anti-Indigenous Racism in Reproductive Health Care (HC-AIR)”. This Health Canada funded project aims to integrate
cultural safety training across the life-cycle of midwifery education and practice, from pre-service to in-service
education, including resources and tools to advance commitments to AIR in acute care settings. The competencies
will be communicated to regulators of midwifery care for uptake into competency requirements.
