One thing I was remiss not to mention during my presentation was about shared student space in Helen Glass.
Along with nursing students, midwifery students have access to:
- 206 - Student association lounge
- 230 - Quiet study space (in hallway by parkade)
- Locker room in basement (1st floor)
- Indigenous students can request access to the PINE (Pathway for Indigenous Nursing Education) Please email

The lounge and locker room in basement have community use items like refrigerator, microwave, sink, etc.
*If you have never had your ID card coded before to access the spaces noted above, a walk to the Physical Plant building is required – see map below. It’s short walk on a beautiful day.
** if your card was coded in a previous academic session and the swipe no longer works, please stop by the reception desk and they can assist you by email.
The hours the coding office is available – Monday through Friday:
- 0830 – 0930
- 1015 – 1145
- 1300 – 1430
- 1500 – 1530
Also, for the students who raised their hands acknowledging issues with Manitoba Student Loans, please email me directly so I can investigate further.
