One of our awesome instructors, Yen, had a significant house fire late last week. Thankfully, nobody was home at the time (she and her partner were on a walk with the dogs). However, their house has sustained significant damage and they cannot return due to smoke and damage. Many of their belongings are damaged and will need to be replaced. They are currently living in a hotel. Last night their house was broken into and looted. Presumably, someone was watching/aware no people were staying in it, so they may have been targeted.

We are starting a collection for her, just cash or gift cards at this point, perhaps at a later date (when she knows what items she needs) we can do a drive to collect necessities and small furniture, etc.

If you are interested in contributing please send me whatever amount you'd like. My email is: alialagace@gmail.com

I will put a card in my staff mailbox tomorrow mid-morning for everyone to sign (please sign, regardless of whether or not you contribute money!).

I would love to give this to her as soon as possible to help alleviate some stress and let her know her CoN colleagues are thinking of her.

Please forward to anyone I may have missed here who might be interested.

Cheers,

Alia
