Dear colleagues, 
Thank you for your cooperation during today’s evacuation of the Apotex building. We recognize that this was a concerning disruption to your day, and we appreciate your calm and prompt response. 
The evacuation was in response to a low-risk threat related to an external exam scheduled to take place in the building this weekend. Out of an abundance of caution, we followed established protocols and worked closely with law enforcement to assess and manage the situation. 
Following that assessment, we are confident that it is safe to resume use of the Apotex building. If you need to access the building this weekend, you are welcome to do so. Entry will be limited to the large sliding doors on the main floor. Please remember to bring your staff or student ID and be prepared for enhanced security measures, which will be in place throughout the weekend as a precaution. 
As always, your safety is our top priority, and we thank you again for your understanding and support.

Hello faculty, staff, and students,

We have a security concern related to an event on the weekend and out of an abundance of caution we are clearing the Apotex Centre this afternoon. Please leave the building and work from home for the remainder of the day.  I will be coming through the building along with other security personnel to be sure everyone is aware and is leaving the building. The building will only be accessible through security at the front north door during the weekend.
