Subject: AMAIC: Accessibility for Manitobans Act Information and Communication Standard

The provincial legislation requires all employees — including any short-term, part-time, temporary, contract, GFTs or Nil staff (and even volunteers), along with all permanent, full-time employees — to take accessibility training. If you have not completed the latest component: AMAIC: Accessibility for Manitobans Act Information and Communication Standard, it is mandatory to complete. For those that have completed this training, thank you. For those that have not as yet, please do so as soon as possible.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The University of Manitoba campuses are located on original lands of Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. I respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and dedicate myself to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
