Subject: NOW ACCEPTING ABSTRACTS for RCFTR Food Technology and Research Day, Nov 14, 2024

This message is forwarded on behalf of the Richardson Centre for Food Technology and Research

Hello FAFS Faculty, Students and Staff

The RCFTR Food Technology and Research Day on November 14, 2024 is now accepting abstracts from FAFS undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and research associates.

Accepted abstracts may be presented as oral or poster presentations. Please ensure your abstract is aligned with the RCFTR mission statement of “Advancing food quality and human nutrition through traditional and innovative food processing techniques”. Full details on the abstract submission guidelines are outlined in the attached document. Please review carefully.

We are excited for this year’s event. Thirteen speakers from across the food industry are scheduled to speak including Burcon NutraSciecne, Food Development Centre, Manitoba Egg Farmers, Mike Fata, Myera Group, Piccola Cucina, Prairie Research Kitchen, Pureseed Innovations, River Valley Specialty Farms, Prairie Scientific, Pulse Canada, TheoryMesh and Vitalus.

We are thrilled Drs. Warren Blunt, Claudia Narvaez and Argenis Rodas-González will present on their respective research programs. The event is moderated by RCFTR Director Dr. Rotimi Aluko.

Lunch and light refreshments are provided. Please RSVP here by Thursday, October 31 to help us plan.

Best regards,

Michael
