Good morning grad students,

As some of you may know, the Department of Plant Science is currently in the process of hiring for a new assistant/associate professor position titled: Crop Protection Research Chair (Weed Management). As part of the interview process, the department would like for the three candidates for this position to have a virtual meet and greet with the graduate students; this would allow us grad students to ask the candidates questions, learn a bit about their background, and hear their vision for their role in the department of Plant Science. It is also the hope of the Search Committee that we as graduate students will provide meaningful feedback on each of the candidates following these meet and greets.

Please mark your calendars with the following dates and times for the meet and greets:

Candidate 1: September 27^th from 10:00 – 10:30 am

Candidate 2: September 28^th from 10:00 – 10:30 am

Candidate 3: October 4^th from 10:00 – 10:30 am

(Candidates names will be provided at a later date).

It is crucial that graduate students attend these meet and greets – we will be providing feedback to the Chair of the Search Committee that will play an important role in the hiring process of this position.
