Hi Martha,

Would you please distribute this email message from Crystal to our staff and graduate students.

I encourage colleagues to  volunteer for the Grand Opening at Glenlea  if they so wish.

Thanks.

Peter

Subject: Request to Department Heads to allow staff to volunteer

Dear Department Heads

I am writing to ask for your support in securing volunteers for the Grand Opening of the Bruce D. Campbell Farm & Food Discovery Centre, scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2011. I will make a Faculty-wide call for volunteers shortly and I hope that, where possible, you will allow (and encourage) your staff and students to help us out.

We will be needing volunteers to assist with set-up/takedown, welcoming guests, refreshments, parking and other activities.

I have always been so impressed by the enthusiasm and positive spirit expressed by our staff and students whenever they volunteer at Faculty activities, whether it is career fairs, alumni receptions or open house events.  To me, this is part of what makes our Faculty such a great place to work and distinguishes us in the University community.

Thank you for your consideration of this request!

Crystal
