Four candidates will be interviewing in August for the Cereal Breeder & Genetics Asst/Assoc Professor position in our Department.
The graduate students (or as many that can attend) meet as a group with each candidate separately, and then provide their feedback to the Chair of the Search Committee (Dr. Fouad Daayf).
I would like to schedule virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams for the following dates/times:
Candidate 1 – August 4 @ 5:00pm
Candidate 2 – August 7 @ 4:00p.m
Candidate 3 – August 13 @ 4:00pm
Candidate 4 – August 14 @ 4:00pm
Please let me know if you will be available to attend. Not everyone will be available I know.
It is very important for the grad students to meet with the candidates as this person will become a permanent member of this department with teaching and research duties.
Your feedback from a graduate student perspective is a very valuable part of the selection process.
Once all the itineraries have been finalized, I will be sending out announcements of who the candidates are. What I can tell you right now is one candidate is located in BC, one in MB, one in ON and one in the US.
