PSGSA Holiday Party December 8th
Hi everyone!
We will be having our annual Grad Student Holiday Party on Friday December 8th in Room 218. We will have a potluck at 12 pm (noon), followed by a gift exchange at around 1:30 pm. Sign up sheets for the potluck and gift exchange will be placed in the Grad Student Lounge, or you may email me (ammetera@myumanitoba.ca) and I will add you to the sign up sheet. You may participate in the potluck without participating in the gift exchange, or participate in the gift exchange without participating in the potluck!
For the potluck, we ask that you indicate what type of dish you will be bringing (ex. Appetizer, main course, dessert). While it is not necessary that all dishes be suitable for all members to enjoy, please keep in mind that some of our members have peanut allergies, are vegans or vegetarians or have other dietary restrictions.
For the gift exchange, the suggested price for a gift is $20. Those who wish to participate may bring a "generic" wrapped gift that anyone would enjoy receiving, and we will play a game to distribute the gifts! If you wish to participate in the gift exchange, we ask that you sign up no later than Wednesday, December 6th.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. We look forward to seeing you all at the party!
Ashley
Dear grad students,
Our annual Grad Student Christmas Party will be hold on this Friday December 8th 2017 in Room 218. We will have a potluck at 12 pm (noon), and a gift exchange after that (around 1:30ish). Everyone is welcomed and it’s a great opportunity for you to meet some new faces (friends) in the department. Sign up sheets for the potluck and gift exchange will be placed in the Grad Student Lounge. It is your choice to decide participate either potluck, gift exchange or both. There would be food from different cultures so you can try various food during this party.
For the potluck, it would be great if you could point out what kind of food you would like to bring (ex. Appetizer, main course, dessert etc.). It is necessary to say what may contain in the food because some of our students can not eat specific foods (ex allergies or vegan or vegetarians).
For the gift exchange, the suggested price for a gift is $20 and it would be a good memorize for a while. “Generic” wrapped gift would be suggested because everyone would accepted (ex chocolate, mugs, textbooks etc.). A game will play when we distributing the gifts. I think everyone has been working hard for a year (or a few years) so it’s a good time to take a short break and have some fun with us.
We wish everyone would join us and see you at the party!
Sincerely,
Bruce
