1. Douglas L. Campbell Graduate Fellowship
The fellowship is to be offered either as two supplementary (or "top-up") awards to recipients of the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships or as one independent (or "stand-alone") award. The fellowship may be renewable, for one year in the case of M.Sc. students or two years in the case of Ph.D. students, based on progress reports and the discretion of the selection committee.
To be eligible for consideration for this fellowship, a candidate must complete an application form (available from the Faculty of Graduate Studies) and must:
(a) be a full-time graduate student in a thesis program;
(b) have an outstanding record of academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.5).

2. James Gordon Fletcher Graduate Research Award in Agricultural and Food Sciences
The available annual income on the fund will support a fellowship to a student who:
(1) is entering the Masters of Science program in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and enrolls full-time in the program;
(2) has an outstanding record of undergraduate academic achievement (minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 over the last 60 credit hours);
(3) demonstrates an interest in and potential for research.

3. John Dueck Graduate Entrance Scholarship
The scholarships will be offered to students who:
(1) are enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies, in either an M.Sc. or a Ph.D. program delivered by the Department of Entomology, Plant Science, or Soil Science;
(2) have achieved a minimum degree grade point average of 3.0 (or equivalent) based on the last 60 credit hours of study;
(3) have proposed to conduct thesis research related to crops, pests, or soils;
(4) have demonstrated a high level of research potential.
Candidates will be required to submit an application that will consist of: (a) a description of their proposed research project (maximum 500 words), (b) a curriculum vitae and a brief description of their career goals (maximum 250 words), (c) a current academic transcript(s), and (d) two academic letters of reference from professors, other than the proposed research supervisor, at a post-secondary institution.

4. Willy Wiebe Graduate Fellowship in Agricultural and Food Sciences
The fellowship, valued at the available annual income, will be offered to a student who:
(1) enrolls as a full-time student in the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Manitoba in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Agricultural and Food Sciences;
(2) as a Master's student, achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 in the last 60 credit hours completed in their undergraduate program or, as a Ph.D. student, achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75 in their Master's program;
(3) demonstrates an interest in and potential for research;
(4) has identified an advisor in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences who is willing to support a project in breeding and research in Canadian Western Red Spring Wheat.
The fellowship can be renewed once by the same recipient in a Master's program, and twice for the same recipient in a Ph.D. program.

5. Stewart Pugh External Study Scholarships
The available annual interest from the fund will be used to offer a variable number of scholarships, valued up to a maximum of $2,000, to defray transportation costs for undergraduate and graduate students who plan to travel to another university or institution, in Canada or abroad, to further their studies in agricultural or food sciences. This may involve study or research for one academic term or participation in a short-duration study tour used as a credit course towards their degree or diploma.
The scholarships will be offered to students who:
(1) are enrolled full-time (minimum 24 credit hours) in the third or fourth year of study in a degree program, second year of study in the diploma program, or have completed one year of an MSc program or PhD program in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Manitoba;
(2) have achieved a minimum degree grade point average of 3.0.
Candidates must provide: (1) an outline of the course of study they wish to pursue including (a) justification for the external study, (b) their goals with respect to professional and personal development as a result of the external study, and (c) estimated transportation cost; (2) a letter of support from their thesis advisor or undergraduate program committee chairperson indicating that he/she approves of the institution at which the candidate will undertake his/her program of study/research.
Institutions where the term of study would be conducted and the work study course in which the student would participate must be approved by the student's thesis advisor or undergraduate program committee chairperson
