***This email is being distributed to graduate students in the RFHS on behalf of Student Services, Bannatyne Campus***
Hello,
I am writing today to share an upcoming wellness activity for learners of the RFHS and the Inner-City Social Work program. The program is free to access but registration is required. Please share widely amongst your students and contacts;
see attached poster.
Flower Ball Wellness Activity
This in-person event will take place on
Friday, May 13 at 12:00 – 1:00 pm in the Buhler Atrium (Bannatyne Campus).
Student Services at Bannatyne Campus (SSBC) designed the Flower Ball Wellness Activity in response to learners expressing an ongoing desire for connection. This event offers an opportunity to learn about, create, and
take-home wildflower seed balls. Wildflower seed balls have been used in cultures and countries around the world to easily spread pollinator plants to support biodiversity, bees, and butterflies. As well, connecting with soil, plants, and the growing process
are widely recognized as a helpful grounding and mindfulness practices. The event will be facilitated by SSBC’s Confidential Intake and Triage Specialists, Rikki Fontaine (she/her) and Eden Friesen (she/her).
Please join us to unwind, engage in holistic wellness, and get your hands (a little) dirty!
Spaces are limited. Please register by May 6. To register or learn more, contact us today at 204-272-3190 or
bcss@umanitoba.ca.
