provide joint funding opportunities, increasing the number of Studentships awarded annually. This includes applicants applying under Health, Natural Sciences & Engineering, and Social Sciences & Humanities.

are in the Health category.
-
Health Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Competition
- (Total: 3 AWARDS / Research Manitoba Funding: $88,200 / Partner Funding: $44,100)
- Research Postdoctoral Fellowships support highly qualified postdoctoral
trainees to prepare for careers as independent researchers. These exceptional trainees significantly increase the productivity of the research programs with which they are affiliated. Research Manitoba now provides awards for Postdoctoral Fellows without one
of our funding partners. All applicants funded by this award are in the Health category.
In addition to the funding from our partners, Research Manitoba is thrilled to announce that we are solely funding 15 PhD Health Research Studentship
Awards this competition cycle. This is the first time since 2017 that Research Manitoba has been able to provide students at the PhD level with Research Manitoba funds. Two of this year’s successful Postdoctoral Fellows are also solely funded by Research Manitoba.
Research Manitoba plans to fund across the disciplines (including Social Sciences and Humanities, and Natural Sciences and Engineering)
as part of its next trainee competition.
