Subject: Planned shutdown for buildings on FG Campus required as a result of the severe weather incident
Importance: High
Hello Mark,
Please be advised that there has been power outage in 5 buildings on campus today as a result of the severe weather event yesterday.
To reconnect the affected 5 buildings to the U5 feeders, our Electrical Team from the Operations and Maintenance Unit, are planning an electrical, power showdown today from 5:00-7:00 pm and the following buildings
will be affected: Education 3, IGAC, Max Bell, Migizii Agamik, Biological Sciences, University Stadium, St Johns, St Pauls, Education Building 1 and 2,
Wallace, Nursing (Helen Glass), Parkade, Fitzgerald, and Sinnott Building.
We are asking staff and students to vacate the buildings by 5pm today. Security and our Caretakers will attempt to
swipe the buildings and ask staff and students to leave the premises.
I have included Raman Dhaliwal if she wants to add to this email.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
