Good afternoon,

Caretaking Services will be implementing several operational changes to office cleaning in the coming weeks, in preparation for the Fall term. These changes support the goals of the Campus Cleanliness Plan.

A new intranet page outlines our caretaking services and definitions: Cleaning services. You will be contacted with a date for when your building will be transitioned, approximately one week in advance.

Key changes include:

• Office cleaning will move to a once-weekly full clean of floors, completed during the afternoon/evening shift (2:00 p.m.–10:15 p.m.).
• Desk-side waste and recycling bins will no longer be emptied individually. Office occupants will need to empty their own bins into designated three-stream waste collection stations located in hallways.

• Lunchrooms and shared kitchen spaces will continue to be cleaned daily after 2:00 p.m.
• If you would like an organics bin for your lunchroom, please contact fg-caretaking@umanitoba.ca.
