Most institutions hosting an RTI application require partner institutions to confirm eligibility and participation approval of researchers involved in advance of the deadline (often an email or signature).
To ensure I can manage these during this high-volume season, requests for signature and/or approval can be sent directly to me (Andrea.Craig@umanitoba.ca) for a 7-business day deadline of 16 October 2025 with:
PI and Host Institution:
UManitoba Co-Investigator(s):
Sponsor, Program: NSERC Research Tools & Instruments
Title:
A FAAF isn’t required. If a CCV is provided, I’ll gladly review that for compliance with NSERC guidelines.
Kind thanks for your assistance with this, and my best wishes for a smooth and successful Discovery season!
Warmly,
Andrea

NSERC offers a series of pre-recorded videos followed by Q&A sessions which are meant to assist the research community on how to complete an application using the Research Portal and the NSERC Canadian Common CV (CCV). You will find below the pre-recorded videos as well as the dates for these upcoming Q&A sessions.
Pre-registration is required to attend the Q&A sessions. The sessions will be open 15 minutes in advance. Considering the high attendance to our Q&A sessions, NSERC staff may not have time to respond to all individual questions during the sessions. Any additional questions should be directed to our support team at NSERC Discovery.
We ask that you view the pre-recorded videos prior to attending a Q&A session, as the material presented in the videos will not be repeated.
