The attached Call for Conference Sponsorship Program (CSP) Applications is forwarded on behalf of the Office of the Vice-President Research and International. This cycle of applications will cover conferences occurring September through to December, 2026.

 

Please review the CSP Guidelines attached and follow the steps below to request internal approvals and the required matching funds from your Department and the Dean’s Office.

 

CHRFEER Internal Process:

  1. Applicant completes the appropriate application form:    Faculty application      Student application
  2. Applicant clicks “Save and Resume Later” at bottom of form. Enter your email address to have the link sent to you (your filled application will be saved up to 30 days).
  3. Applicant sends the saved link to their Dept Head (or Supervisor) with their request for matching funds; At minimum, must be equal to or greater than amount requested from the CSP fund; Dean’s Office will match the Department’s contribution 1:1.
  4. Dept Head reviews application. If approved, the Dept Head forwards application link and written confirmation of financial contribution from the Department, to Dean.Environment@umanitoba.ca, with a request for matching funds from the Dean’s Office.
  5. Dean’s Office admin, on approval of the application by the Dean, submits the application to the VPRI (conferencesponsorship@umanitoba.ca) and confirms submission with Applicant, Dept Head, and Supervisor (for student applications).

Dean’s Office deadline: June 8, 2026 to Dean.Environment@umanitoba.ca
