Hello Riddell Faculty,

As you may have seen throughout the morning, we’ve been setting up the entries for our faculty’s Pumpkin Carving Contest, and they are now on display in the Ed Leith Cretaceous Menagerie! Be sure to help yourself to a little gummy treat while browsing the entries, and discard the wrapper properly.

Voting is now live, and open to everyone in the faculty! When you head to the Menagerie, you can find a QR code that will take you to the voting page, or you can use this link: https://forms.office.com/r/WzGtJfj4Hg?origin=lprLink

Please note: You will need to use your UM email to register to vote. Voting is open until 2:00 PM Friday, October 31st. The winning pumpkin will be announced after!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask. You can reply to this email or send your questions to Riddell.Faculty@umanitoba.ca

Thanks, and happy Halloween!

The University of Manitoba campuses and research spaces are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Dene and Inuit, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.

UM recognizes that the Treaties signed on these lands are a lifelong, enduring relationship, and we are dedicated to upholding their spirit and intent. We acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past and the present. With this understanding, we commit to supporting Indigenous excellence through active Reconciliation, meaningful change, and the creation of an environment where everyone can thrive. Our collaboration with Indigenous communities is grounded in respect and reciprocity and this guides how we move forward as an institution.
