The below message is sent on behalf of Dr. David Walker, Associate Professor Environment & Geography.

Dr. David Walker will be leading a lek tour this Saturday (May 2) on behalf of the Manitoba Chapter of The Wildlife Society. Registration is through the TWS Manitoba Chapter (see details below).

Please note that spots are limited to approximately 15–20 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. While registration is free, those who sign up are encouraged to attend, as numbers at the lek site must be carefully managed.

An evening frog walk is also scheduled for this Monday. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about spring amphibians—primarily through listening—and to become familiar with the characteristic calls of Manitoba species.
