I acknowledge with great respect that my place of work, the University of Manitoba, is located on original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.
Rally to End Poverty
On October 15, right before the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, people across Manitoba will come together to say: poverty is not inevitable, and we can do better.
Join Make Poverty History Manitoba for a rally to celebrate the people and communities working for change—and to demand provincial government action to ensure everyone in Manitoba has a safe home, enough to eat, a decent income, and the opportunity to live with dignity.
