Thank you to everyone who came out to our inaugural events for the Fall 2019 Term! And a big thank you to our insightful and inspiring speakers for sharing their research with us.
This week we are looking forward to gathering for Feminist Killjoys: A Sara Ahmed Reading group, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Revolution Wellness (433 Graham Ave.). The discussion will be facilitated by Karen Sharma of QPOC Winnipeg. Please note, that this event prioritizes those who identify as 2SQTBIPOC. On Wednesday morning our friends at Thin Air 2019 are presenting Sonja Boon & Kaie Kellough. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 11:30 am - 12:20 pm in Cross Common Room, St John's College. The event is free and open to the public!
Unfortunately, Katherine Boyer's talk "Two stitches, hers then mine: Experiences working with the Manitoba Museum Ethnographic Collection" has been postponed until winter. More details will be available in the coming weeks.
This weekend coming up will be a busy weekend for community events with the Global Climate Strike - Winnipeg starting at noon, Friday, September 27, 2019 at the Manitoba Legislative Building, and Culture Days and Nuit Blanche taking place over the weekend!
