As the semester is winding down, the UMIH is glad to announce of the following event:
-"Reading and Writing in Times of Grief"
Tuesday, March 31st, St. John’s College, Cross Common Room, 9am-2:45pm
The goal of this event is to think about how artists use poetry as a tool for processing loss, and how writing about someone or something that is gone can be an expression of love and joy. Our event
will include a discussion with academics and artists in the morning and readings by local poets in the afternoon, followed by an open mic. It is open to UofM students, staff, and faculty as well as members of the wider Winnipeg community.
Participants can come for the full day, or the morning or afternoon, only. Advance registration is required. For more information and to register, please see the event website:
