Dear Friends of the hUManities,

Happy Friday!

The UMIH is an Institute headed by two settlers of color residing and working in Treaty 1. To honor a week of mourning with our friends & family in the Indigenous communities across Noth America, the UMIH newsletter scheduled every Monday was postponed. As we grief, we encourage settlers like us, to each reflect on our relationship to the Land we occupy and actively practice showing genuine love, honor and respect not only in light of the uncovering of recent atrocities in the Kamloops Indian Residential School but as an on-going and continued effort.
