UMIH External Grant Support:
The UMIH is seeking proposals for its External Grant Support program. An initiative to help researchers in the Faculty of Arts who are seeking external funding for conferences, workshops, colloquia, and other local research events.
This program was designed to provide opportunities for scholars to secure support, both cash and in-kind, from the UMIH in order to leverage funds from other agencies.

Join the Department of History, University of Manitoba, for a special guest lecture discussing Dr. Funke Aladejebi's forthcoming book Schooling the System: A History of Black Women Teachers (McGill-Queen’s Press.
This talk will explore the importance of Black Canadian women sustaining their communities and preserving a distinct Black identity within restrictive gender and racial barriers.
