Write-on-line
Monday

have gone virtual to prioritize public health and safety while still maintaining our sense of connection during these isolating times. Virtual write-on-sites will continue every Monday and Thursday from 9
am to 12 pm. Everyone is welcome to write together, apart. Please email Serenity at: joo@cc.umanitoba.ca for the Zoom invite.

We're thrilled to announce the microgrant recipients from round 1 and round 2! The recipients can be found on the UMIH website,

Events & Opportunities:
Wall-to-Wall Mural & Culture Festival
Ever wonder who has been putting up all those giant, colourful, murals around Winnipeg's downtown?
For those of you who are artistically inclined, Synonym Art Consultation and Graffiti Art Programming are looking for submissions for their annual mural festival. They are shifting to a digital submission model due to Covid-19.
Wall-to-Wall
is
committed to curation that uplifts artists, mentors, musicians, and performers belonging to under-supported communities, particularly those who identify as Black, Indigenous, Afro-Indigenous, People of Colour, 2SLGBTQIA+, artists with disabilities, and any
and all people who fall within these intersections. Find more information about how to submit
here!
UM Press: Book Sale!
If
you love a good book sale, UM Press is offering a 30% discount on Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 books that would have debuted at spring and summer conferences and association meetings, cancelled due to COVID-19. Use

UM Libraries: Curbside Pickup
In more good book news, UM Libraries have launched a curbside pickup service, operating from the shipping entrance of Dafoe Library. The service includes materials from
all libraries on both campuses. Currently it is only available to faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral students, however an expanded service for undergraduate students is being tentatively planned for September. Information
on how this service will work and how to request materials is available on UML’s We’ll
Get It For You service
page which is found on our COVID-19
page.
With
the university closure, UMIH is maintaining regular office hours from home, Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm. Please send an email if you have any questions. Or if you have an idea for humanities-related programming and you want some help getting it off the
ground. The UMIH voicemail is also being checked regularly if you prefer to call.
Take care, friends!
