Best thing to do if you don't want messages to be sent to you is to unsuscribe from the list.
It is quite usual to receive several replies for a given question. It means some people around the users community cared enough to spend some time on your problem, and the entire community can benefit of it. It is the very core of a mailing list.
So, don't ask quite abruptly for people not to send you replies anymore: they are not only aimed at you, but at the group as a whole.

Hello everyone. I understand from the user manuals that data can be imported from text, dbase, and STATA. Has anyone figured out a way to import an Excel database, even though technically it is not an option?

You can save the Excel file as a .dbf file, then import the .dbf file into Epidata.  I assume you'll need to add variable names in the first row of the Excel file.
