We want to ensure that all members of our UM community feel included and safe, and are able to be authentic and to contribute in meaningful ways to our learning and work environment.
The survey is part of the mandate of the President’s Task Force on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)http://umanitoba.ca/about-um/equity-diversity-inclusion, which was established in October 2019. The survey will inform the task force’s recommendations on the process and actions required to identify and address obstacles and inequities facing faculty, staff and students at the UM. Please note that these survey questions are different than the focus group questions, and I hope you will consider participating in both initiatives. As you may be aware, focus groups on EDI are also continuing in March and April. The EDI survey opens today, March 11, and continues until April 30. Now is the time to add your voice to our community conversation about inclusion, diversity and equity at our university.
