With the spring term now in session this is a reminder that all students, staff and visitors on campus can register their cell phone number to receive emergency text messages.

To “opt-in” simply send a message to 30000035 from your handheld device, with JOIN UMERG in the text line.

To “opt out”, text STOP UMERG to 30000035 from your handheld device.

You can also sign up on-line at https://www.umanitoba.ca/emergency_signup.html. However you will receive a request on your device from 30000035 to confirm your registration. Simply reply JOIN UMERG.
