In the spring of 2025, the B.Ed program will be undergoing a standard, full academic review. To prepare for this, you are invited to the B.Ed students' focus groups to be held before the end of term.
Separated into year and stream, Dr. Serebrin invites you to share your thoughts about the current B.Ed program.
You are respectfully asked to focus on the overall program and learning experience. Please refrain from identifying or refering to individuals.

* Literature reviews (also called narrative reviews) are found in various formats in academic writing. They can be stand-alone articles, a chapter in a thesis/dissertation, or a capstone project. This session will cover how to create a research question and why it's so important to the literature review. Topic selection, developing the search, keeping track of references, and structuring the literature review will also be discussed.
In this session, participants will:
* Understand the five steps to developing a literature review
* Learn about question frameworks and how they can be applied
* Identify the key concepts in their review to develop a search strategy

Undergraduate Education Students Invitation to Participate
Would you like to participate in a new research study? "A Decolonizing Exploration of Anti-racist, Arts-based Responses to the Violence Described in the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Report across the Context of Higher Education."
The purpose of this study is to explore how arts-based, anti-racist educational strategies can support undergraduate students to engage with and respond to the MMIWG Calls to Justice.
Your involvement would include:
* Participating in a three-hour arts-based workshop about the MMIWG report on February 17, 2024 - 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights
* Spending one hour pre-viewing materials in advance of the workshop to help you prepare; and
* Completing a socio-demographic form, short online survey, debriefing talking circle, and an interview with the researcher.
We value your time, so as a token of thanks, you would be provided with a $100.00 honorarium.
The opportunity to serve as a research participant in this study is on a first-come, first-served basis.
