Normally, it shoudn't be a problem when you add new variables without modifying the structure of the other variables. Once the questionnaire has been modified, use the option 'Tools / revise data file'. In case something goes wrong, a backup of the data (prior to modifications) is stored with '.OLD.REC' extension. Hi, i started data entry and now need to add 2 new variables to the QES file, when i transfer the QES file into REC file, the old data disappeared, any tips how to avoid it?
