I would like to change the title of an existing QES- file and REC file- without losing data. Is it possible ? How can I do that ?

Hi
You can change the name of the ques and rec files directely in the folder (ie with files closed). It is important that you have exactly identical names of the qes and rec files. I would recommend that you first make a copy of the original qes and rec (right-click --> copy. Right-click again --> paste) files and then change the names of the copies (they will br named "Copy of yourfile.qes" and "Copy of yourfile.rec"

"Title", "File Label" or "File name"?
Title: Change the title in the QES file, save the file, do not make a REC file, but 4. Enter data, and you will be prompted to adjust the REC file to the new QES file Label: Read the REC file in EpiData analysis, and use the command "labeldata", eg. labeldata "My new label for the data file" File name: Just rename both QES and REC file in Explorer.
