Thanks, that was the case. The chk file was not residing in the same folder as the rec file.

I am using Epidata 3.1,When I open the data in Document | View data, from Edit, I see the the data are checked to "Show labels", but the labels are not shown. That means when I export to say, Stata, I don't have the labels. I remember this used to work. Is there anything I am doing wrong?
