I am writing to extend a warm welcome to the Centre for Human Rights Research's new manager, Justin Rasmussen. Justin is Métis and grew up in Ile Des Chênes, Manitoba. In 2014, he received his PhD in biological sciences from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Before joining the Centre for Human Rights Research, Justin worked as an Indigenous student advisor and co-ordinated the Indigenous Circle of Empowerment student leadership development program at the Indigenous Student Centre.
