Hello Midwifery Staff & Students,
I want to share some information about anti-choice planned protests on Fort Garry campus this week.
The Centre for Human Rights Research has provided the following information:
This week, there will be large anti-choice groups on campus in front of University Centre for several days:
* Monday, Mar 25th at 2:45 - 5:00pm
* Tuesday, Mar 26th from 2:30 - 4:45pm
* Wednesday, Mar 27th from 1:30 - 3:30pm.
The Women's Centre on campus has let students know and are offering their space as a safe space. They are also able to assist if students need someone to accompany them to pass the group. Women's Centre also have supplies for poster making for those standing against this group.

Traditional Territories Acknowledgement
I am on Treaty 1 territory. This is the ancestral land of the Anishinaabeg, Ininew, Ojibwe-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. I acknowledge that I am an uninvited guest on these lands and respect the Treaties made here. I respect and am grateful to the Indigenous and Métis ancestors who are the traditional caretakers of the lands I live and work on. I acknowledge that my water comes from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation. I work and live in the spirit of reconciliation and partnership with Indigenous communities and colleagues.
Please share widely. All Welcome!
Regards,
Diana
