Hello everyone!
Good morning. I hope this email finds you well and that your semester has been going well so far.
The Nursing Students' Association invites you to attend the "Culturama" event!
This event will be held on Friday, March 24 at the Helen Glass Atrium. It is essentially an all-day event with a fashion show starting at 12:00 pm. The "best dressed" student at this fashion show will be awarded a $50 gift card to a store of their choice. The poster for this event is attached to this email.
Everyone at the College of Nursing is invited to this event! We also encourage everyone to dress up in their cultural attire or a piece of it, even if you aren't participating in the fashion show!
There will also be snacks from different cultures available and stations with games such as "Guess the Flag" and "Guess the Language". This event aims to celebrate the diversity at the College of Nursing. We hope everyone learns more about the different cultures represented at the College at this event!
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email if you are interested in participating in the fashion show or volunteering at this event!
Thank you and have a wonderful rest of your week!

Subject: Survey - Help Shape the Canadian Midwifery Research Agenda
Caution: This message was sent from outside the University of Manitoba.
Good morning,
I am hoping that you can assist me in recruiting student midwives as an important stakeholder group to participate in our brief survey about Canadian Midwifery Research. If possible, can you please share the following below information with the students enrolled in your midwifery program?
Thank you very much,
Beth

We are conducting a study that aims to gather information about the gaps and areas of strength within the Canadian midwifery research landscape, and to use this to shape a national research agenda for the next five years. To accomplish this aim, we will utilize a modified Delphi technique with multiple rounds of surveys and online stakeholder meetings to identify research priorities in midwifery across Canada.
We are seeking midwifery service users, midwifery students, registered midwives, Indigenous midwives, educators, researchers, and policy makers involved in midwifery services to complete the first phase of this research - an online survey that will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
If you are interested in participating in this study, please follow this link to the online survey: https://redcap.link/ts9u65su.
Please consider sharing this survey with friends, midwifery students, and client!
If you would like to learn more, please contact the study investigators at: cmrpmcmaster(a)gmail.com<mailto:cmrpmcmaster@gmail.com>
Thank you,
Beth Murray-Davis RM, PhD

Subject: [Nursing-bn-students] Agape Table's Mittens and Gloves Drive
Hello everyone,
Hope you are keeping warm!
Our names are Charlie, Doyin, Favour and Kathy and we are 4th year nursing students in our community clinical rotation. We are currently placed at Agape Table.
Agape Table is 100% and provides the following services:
* Free breakfast to the marginalized community of Winnipeg from Monday to Friday.
* Emergency Food and hampers every Tuesday and Thursday to over 275 families each week.
* Daily living necessities such as clothing, shoes, and hygiene products are always in demand.
For our community health project, we identified a need for winter clothing. Many of the guests that utilize the services at Agape Table do not have adequate winter clothing, especially gloves/mittens, which puts them at risk for frostbite and its complications. Although Agape Table has other winter items through donations such as winter jackets, scarves, hats and socks, there is a scarcity of winter gloves. Hence, we selected gloves/mittens drive to fill this need. We need men's/women's gloves. We are hoping to receive at least 50 pairs of gloves/mittens.
Any used or new mittens/gloves can be dropped off at the designated box at Helen Glass atrium by the NSA office.
We have also provided an amazon link if you want to purchase gloves. Once received, it can be dropped off at the designated box at Helen Glass atrium by the NSA office.
