The University of Manitoba campuses are located on original lands of Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. I respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and dedicate myself to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.

We are also glad to say that our custom apparel is produced by Source for Sports Pembina, the same reliable producer that has been entrusted with the U of M Aggies apparel -- which many of you have become familiar with over the years.
The sale is open until Monday, February 13th!
We would especially like to thank Justin Bouchard for his time, as well as all members of FASO, Doug Cattani, Crystal Jorgenson, and our entire PSGSA student council for collaborating on this project.
We hope that all members of the department, including graduate students, postdocs, RAs, technicians, administration, professors, and all friends and family can enjoy wearing Plant Science proudly! 🌱🌾

Hello,
Please be aware that the seed storage room 016 is currently operating at room temperature only. Physical plant is working to fix this issue.
If you have seeds or other materials in that room that need to be stored at lower temperatures, please contact Cathy Bay for an alternative location.
Thank you,

Hello,
This morning someone was found sleeping the second floor women's bathroom. I would like us all to be more vigilant and take precautions.
1. If you are is the building, especially after hours, and unsure if a person is allowed to be here, and you feel unsafe and/or cannot find a colleague to assist you in determining their right to be in the building, please contact security.
2. Anyone entering the building should have a key for access. Do not leave an outside door unlocked or propped open.
3. If you do not feel safe, get a colleague, or call for a safe-walk, to accompany you to your vehicle or to where you are going (e.g. bus stop, etc.). Plan ahead as much as possible.
4. Ensure all doors to labs, offices and other rooms (e.g. lunch room in the basement) are locked. Again, anyone with permitted access to the rooms will have a key.
Remember, our actions can impact others. Please take care and be safe.
