Good Afternoon,
A reminder to please move any of the vehicles or trailers that are on the south side of the Point along the riverbank. We realize that we do not have a great location to move them too, but we need to remove the weight from the riverbank. The side of any Point road or location off of the riverbank will be satisfactory for now.
Thank you,
Rob

The following is sent on behalf of Martin Scanlon, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences
Good afternoon,
I’m pleased to share with you the Indigenous Initiatives Fund Call for Proposals. (See email memo below and attached guidelines and application form or Indigenous Initiatives Fund<https://umanitoba.ca/indigenous/reconciliation/indigenous-initiatives-fund>).
Eligibility:

Applicants who have received funding in the past must have completed and submitted their Indigenous Initiatives Fund Report(s) in order to be considered for the 2022-23 Indigenous Initiatives Fund. Please review the previously funded Indigenous Initiatives to avoid duplication of similar projects. http://umanitoba.ca/indigenous/reconciliation/indigenous-initiatives-fund
Process:
If you need to discuss your idea prior to developing the full proposal, feel free to contact your Department Head or Jitendra Paliwal, Associate Dean (Academic).
STEP 1. Dean’s Office internal deadline: APPLICANTS to complete the PDF fillable Application Form (with attachments if applicable) and email the completed application package to Jitendra Paliwal AgGradAc(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:AgGradAc@umanitoba.ca> by end of day, Monday, May 8th.
STEP 2: Dean to review and approve proposal/s and electronically sign off and rank, if applicable, and submit by the University’s May 15th deadline.

Subject: IIF Call for Proposals: Indigenous Initiatives Fund 2023
The following is being sent on behalf of Dr. Cary Miller, Associate Vice-President, Office of the Vice-President (Indigenous),
to Deans, Directors, Associate Deans, and Heads of Administrative Units
The University of Manitoba‘s Indigenous Initiatives Fund<https://umanitoba.ca/indigenous/reconciliation/indigenous-initiatives-fund> supports unit-based projects that advance the Indigenous achievement and engagement goals as stated in Our Shared Future: Building on our Strategic Plan.
Faculties, schools, colleges and libraries are invited to submit proposals to the fund. As well, UM student groups, associations, clubs and alliances are eligible to apply.
We are accepting applications in three categories:
1. One-time Impact projects (funding limit of $15,000): These are smaller projects normally 12 months in duration that will advance and contribute in substantive ways to Indigenous achievement and a culture of inclusive excellence.
2. Unit Impact projects (funding limit of $30,000): These are projects requiring seed funding for about 2 years to support unit-specific projects.
3. Institutional Impact projects (funding limit of $60,000): These are initiatives that may require longer term funding (up to 3 years) and have greater potential for making a university-wide impact.
Please see attached the guidelines and application form. Proposals must be submitted to vpindigenous(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:vpindigenous@umanitoba.ca> by Monday, May 15, 2023 at 4 pm.
Please share with your direct reporting units. We look forward to receiving your proposals.
If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Cary Miller, Associate Vice-President (Indigenous) Cary.Miller@umanitoba<mailto:Cary.Miller@umanitoba> at your convenience.
